[IO Islamic 3206] Tadhkirat-alshu'arâ

This excellent copy, written in the tenth or eleventh century of the Hijrah, breaks off towards the end of the <em>sixth</em> ṭabaḳah, in the biography of Bâbâ Saudâ’î of Abîwards, who flourished under Shâhrukh, on fol. 242^b. The last words: ترا محنت جانى قربان ... , agree with the preceding copy, fol. 259^b, line 4 ab infra. Muḳaddimah, on fol. 12^a. Ṭabaḳah I, on fol. 18^b; II, on fol. 45^b; III, on fol. 76^a (heading omitted); IV, on fol. 108^b; V, on fol. 145^b; VI, on fol. 191^b(only headed طبقه , and beginning with كهبتانى (!), i.e. correctly: Ni’mat-allâh Kûhistânî). The last four pages (ff . 243 and 244), written by another hand, contain (<em>a</em>) the end of Jâmî’s شرح فصوص الحكم , i.e. the نقد النصوص ,a commentary on Muḥyî-aldîn Muḥammad bin ‘Alî al’Arabî’s (died A.H. 638 = A.D. 1240, 1241) نقش الفصوص , an extract from the same Arabic author’s larger mystical work, the فصوص الحكم (comp. Bodleian Cat., Nos. 894, 9, and 976, and W. Pertsch, Berlin Cat., p. 274), and (<em>b</em>) another small prose-tract on mystical matters, beginning : الها ملكا پادشاها قبلۀ دل مارا بتشريف ربّ اشرح لى صدرى در اشعۀ آفتاب الخ. No. 3206, ff. 244, ll. 15 (ll. 19 on the last four pages); excellent Nasta’lîḳ; illuminated frontispiece; size, 8^3/8 in. by 4^3/4 in.
