Flash data - real-time

The service provides information about lightning discharges in Sweden. When a lightning discharge has occurred and the information has reached SMHI, the information is forwarded with "push technology" via web-sockets until those who use the service. It takes about 20 seconds for the information to become available. The information includes: Time (UTC time), country code, position, reference system (EPSG:4326), peakCurrent and cloudIndicator. To ensure that the service is up and running, idle traffic is generated in the form of a test record with the same appearance but with the country code ZZ. The discharges have been calculated in the calculation server for lightning information using observations made in automatic sensors for lightning localization. DELIVERY: The push service for lightning data is accessed via web service for a delivery fee. Data should be saved before further use. Send an email to [e-mail] to order.
