This algorithm returns the daily primary production through the euphitic depth of the water column (PPeu) in mg C/m2/day. PPeu was calculated using an algorithm modfied from Hirawake et al (2012). Photosynthesis activity, phytoplankton biomass index, euphotic zone depth were computed from spectral remote sensing reflectance. Level-3 standard maiing images of the input variables of the algorithm, remote sensing reflectance and daily mean photosynthetic available radiation (PAR) products, were obtained from GSFC/NASA.

本算法以mg C/m²/天为单位,返回水柱真光层(euphotic depth)内的每日初级生产力(PPeu)。PPeu的计算基于修正自Hirawake等(2012)的算法。光合活性、浮游植物生物量指数以及真光层深度均通过光谱遥感反射率(remote sensing reflectance)计算得到。本算法输入变量的Level-3标准映射影像(Level-3 standard mapped images)、遥感反射率数据,以及日平均光合有效辐射(photosynthetic available radiation, PAR)产品,均获取自GSFC/NASA。
