Primary production of the Arctic Ocean

This algorithm returns the daily primary production through the euphitic depth of the water column (PPeu) in mg C/m2/day. PPeu was calculated using an algorithm modfied from Hirawake et al (2012). Photosynthesis activity, phytoplankton biomass index, euphotic zone depth were computed from spectral remote sensing reflectance. Level-3 standard maiing images of the input variables of the algorithm, remote sensing reflectance and daily mean photosynthetic available radiation (PAR) products, were obtained from GSFC/NASA.本算法以mg C/m²/天为单位，返回水柱真光层（euphotic depth）内的每日初级生产力（PPeu）。PPeu的计算基于修正自Hirawake等（2012）的算法。光合活性、浮游植物生物量指数以及真光层深度均通过光谱遥感反射率（remote sensing reflectance）计算得到。本算法输入变量的Level-3标准映射影像（Level-3 standard mapped images）、遥感反射率数据，以及日平均光合有效辐射（photosynthetic available radiation, PAR）产品，均获取自GSFC/NASA。
