Members of the Iridoviridae family are giant double-stranded DNA viruses in the order Pimascovirales that infect invertebrates, fish and amphibians. Here, we report the genome sequences of two Iridoviridae family members S1SAO and S3SAO from the South Atlantic Ocean, with nearly complete genome sizes of 256,313 and 137,119 bp, respectively.
