MODVOLC

MODVOLC是一个使用NASA的MODIS仪器获取的红外卫星数据监测地球表面火山喷发、野火和人为热源(如气体火炬)热辐射特征的数据库。该系统通过Terra和Aqua卫星上的两个MODIS传感器，每48小时可监测整个地球一次。如果检测到火山喷发，其详细信息会在卫星飞过火山后1-2小时内通过NASA近实时数据和图像系统(LANCE)报告。用户可以使用网站工具搜索、绘制和下载数据。MODVOLC is a database that uses infrared satellite data collected by NASA's MODIS instruments to monitor thermal radiation signatures of volcanic eruptions, wildfires, and anthropogenic heat sources (e.g., gas flares) across the Earth's surface. The system employs the two MODIS sensors onboard the Terra and Aqua satellites, allowing it to conduct global surveillance every 48 hours. When a volcanic eruption is detected, its detailed information will be reported via NASA's Near-Real-Time Data and Image System (LANCE) within 1 to 2 hours after the satellite passes over the volcano. Users can access web-based tools to search, visualize, and download the dataset.
