Consumption volume of biosimilar drugs in Italy 2016-2023

Over the last few years, the consumption of biosimilar drugs considerably increased in Italy. In fact, the counting units sold-in to pharmacies by pharmaceutical companies increased about ten times between 2016 and 2023, from roughly 5.3 million to over 56 million units. This figure shows the consumption volume of biosimilar drugs in Italy from 2016 to 2023.
