Extremophiles Research Program of Extremobiosphere Research Center (XBR) initiated the genome sequencing project of extremophiles for understanding biodiversity and environmental adaptability of microbes. The complete genome sequences have been determined for Bacillus-related species, proteobacterial species and other species their genomic information is released from ExtremoBase. Metagenomic information in deep subsurface and deep-sea environments will be available from this site.
