microbial diversity on membrane distillation

This study evaluated the biofouling of membrane distillation (MD) when treating different feed waters taken from three local water bodies: Xuanwu Lake, Nan Lake, Qinhuai River. SEM-EDS results showed that inorganic matters in feed waters had some influences in both the attachment of salt crystals onto membrane as and the selection of dominant bacteria in the matured biofilm, then affecting the rate of flux decline.
