Genome sequence analysis of the Fusarium solani species complex. Fusarium solani species complex

The goal of this BioProject is to understand the ecological, physiological and chemical diversity of members of the Fusarium solani species complex in order to better control plant diseases and other problems caused by these fungi. Members of the complex occur in diverse habits, but are of primary concern because of their ability to cause diseases on economically important plants, including soybean, sweet potato, cucurbits and pea. Some members form species-specific symbiotic relationships with ambrosia beetles in the genus Euwallacea that are important insect pests of avocado and some other woody plants. Some members of the complex can also infect of invertebrate and vertebrate animals, including immunocompromised humans.
