Analysis of oral cancer driver gene mutations in oral potentially malignant disorders

This study examined 41 cases of OPMDs who visited the Department of Dental, Oral Surgery, and Orthodontics, Ehime University Hospital, between 2021 and 2023. The observation period was defined as the time from specimen collection or surgery to the final follow-up visit at the time of data collection. This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Ehime University Hospital (No. 2108004), and written informed consent was obtained from all participants. Next-generation sequencing was performed using a custom gene panel targeting TP53, HRAS, PIK3CA, NOTCH1, CDKN2A, FBXW7, and BRAF.
