CHIRP data collected in the Trinity-Sabine incised valley on the east Texas shelf, acquired by the R/V Lone Star in 1996 (LS9606TS)

Funded by a Rice University consortium of petroleum companies, this 1996 R/V Lone Star survey collected CHIRP data in the Trinity-Sabine incised valley and on the Bolivar Roads ebb tidal delta on the east Texas shelf. The objectives were to study the evolution of the sediment supply. Data archiving funded by the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM). CHIRP navigation was supplied by a line log correlating time to latitude/longitude with navigation interpolated to the shots in between.
