资源简介:
The goal of this study is to identify genes of interest through high throughput sequencing of a mouse model for BPH and compare with control, WT mice. Additionally, to use the generated RNA expression profile to compare with a previously established human microarray for BPH. Through these comparisons we hope to identify novel genes contributing to the disease in humans. Specific results of these analyses are in progress and publication content is yet to be determined. Overall design: An RNA expression profile of the anterior prostate (AP), dorsal lateral prostate (DLP), and urethra, from control and T+E2 treated mice and from the urogogenital sinus (UGS) of E16.5 mice cultured in testosterone and without hormone. Four samples were used for each tissue in each group (control and T+E2 treated or cultured in testosterone ), making 8 samples per tissue type. All samples labelled "control" recieved no treatment.
