Parkes observations for project P564 semester 2007APRS

In recent months we have continued to study the remarkable radio magnetar\nXTE J1810-197 using a variety of telescopes spanning the radio-infrared-X-ray\nrange. A great deal of temporal variation is observed, with the pulsar\nnow generally much weaker (and hence harder to observe) than before\nlate July 2006. At Parkes we have obtained unique information on the\npolarimetric characteristics of its emission. We have no idea whether\nthe pulsar will disappear below detectability (or brighten!) within the\ncoming term, and wish to maintain close monitoring of its behaviour.\nAt Parkes we will concentrate on using the unique complement of\nreceivers and backends available for polarimetric studies, along with\nsome timing/spectral studies that cannot be done at GBT this term.\nIn all, we request 60 hr of Parkes time this semester.
