The embryo of B. mori, an important economic and model insect of Lepidoptera, was demonstrated that its development was affected by DNA methylation. In this study, to investigate the possible target genes of DNA methylation, RNA-seq was implemented after Dnmt1 RNAi. The fertilized eggs were injected with dsgfp or dsDnmt1 B. mori embryos, and were collected after 48h for RNA-seq. There were only 25 up-regulated genes and 104 down-regulated genes in the data of Dnmt1 RNAi compared to control. Differentially expressed genes are mainly enriched in metabolic pathways, including lipid, amino acid and carbohydrate metabolism, etc.
