This series records the details of cases heard for complaints of offences made against officers and wardens of the Ballarat Gaol. Cases were usually presided over by the Inspector General of Penal Establishments. Information recorded includes the name of the officer against whom the complaint was made, by whom was the charge made, date of hearing and the decision.
