资源简介:
The Shabunda Forest Carbon Legacy Project (PEM-DRC-SH-109-GIERI) is a 91,663-hectare community forest carbon initiative located in the Shabunda Territory, Democratic Republic of Congo. The project applies an innovative measurement-based carbon accounting framework developed by Planetary Emissions Management Inc. known as the Direct Measurement Forest Carbon Protocol (DMFCP)3,4. This protocol is the foundation for the Empirical Continuity Additionality Benchmark (ECAB) and the PEM GHG-Universal Metrology Offset (UMO.1) protocols addressing widely cited scientific uncertainties for existing forest carbon offset paradigms5–10. The PEM methodology results are directly tied to observed and quantified atmospheric flux. This approach enables features such as insurance protection for diverse carbon credit offset products.
