资源简介:
Mycolicibacterium fortuitum, a rapidly growing nontuberculous mycobacterium, has emerged as a significant pathogen in healthcare-associated infections. This pathogen can cause skin and soft tissue infections as well as pulmonary diseases, affecting humans and various species of animals. In this study, we conducted the whole-genome sequencing of 12 clinical isolates of M. fortuitum, obtained from sputum samples of patients diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. These resources will aid in the understanding of the genetic factors underlying M. fortuitum infections, facilitating the analysis of their mechanisms of virulence, antimicrobial resistance, and epidemiological patterns.
