Genome Assembly of the newly described Alta-Floresta Titi-Monkey, a Critically Endangered species. ORG.one project - Plecturocebus grovesi

We report rapid sequencing of the critically endangered Alta-Floresta Titi-Monkey (Plecturocebus grovesi Boubli et al 2019) as part of the ORG.one project https://org.one/oo using the PromethION 2 Solo (Oxford Nanopore Technologies) nanopore sequencer. We produced 66.85 Gb of sequence data, representing >20x theoretical coverage. We aim to deliver with this study the first highly contiguous genome assembly for Plecturocebus grovesi.
