资源简介:
Klebsiella pneumoniae is a common cause of hospital-associated infections, including pneumonia and bacteremia. Due to continued antimicrobial resistance, this pathogen is considered a major public health threat. The goal of this study is to identify K. pneumoniae genes that contribute to its fitness during bacteremia. Four pools of transposon insertion mutants were constructed and used to infect mice via tail vein injection. Genomic DNA was extracted from the inoculum and K. pneumoniae recovered from the spleens of infected mice after 24 hours. DNA fragments were submitted to the University of Minnesota Genomics Center for quality verification, library preparation, and Illumina sequencing.
