Soil metagenomics across Australian field and plant-associated soil experiments (ONT long reads)

Oxford Nanopore long-read shotgun soil metagenomics from three Australian experiments to study how soil type, time, management, and plant productivity shape microbial communities. Includes (i) agricultural soil cores from Boorowa (NSW) sampled in 2019 and 2023 with soil chemistry, (ii) a plant culture trial profiling rhizosphere microbiomes across a shoot biomass gradient in multiple crop hosts, and (iii) an ACT forest vs river soil comparison under different fertilizer treatments. Raw reads were basecalled and filtered (>=300 bp, mean Q>=15) and linked sample metadata are provided to support long-read assembly and genome-resolved analyses.
