资源简介:
VDR is critical for Ca++ homeostasis. While its role in this process within the intestine has primarily been focused to the duodenal epithelium, we have uncovered a compensatory role for VDR in the colon in mediating Ca++ uptake. Here, we compare VDR genomic binding properties in the colon and duodenum using ChIP-seq. We also examine the chromatin accessibility between these intestinal regions. The C57BL/6J mice were fed with regular chow diet and exposed to a 12h-light, 12h-dark cycle. Food and water were given ad libitum. When the mice were between the age of 4-6 weeks old, 100uL of 2.5 ng/uLof 1,25(OH)2D3 (Caymon Chemical Company, Ann Arbor, MI) (IP 10ng/g body weight) were administered intraperitoneally for 1 hour and harvested. Some of the C57BL/6J originated from the Jackson Laboratory while others were generated and maintained at the animal care facility at Rutgers University according to the guidelines of the Animal Care and Use Committee at Rutgers University
