资源简介:
NHERI@UTexas Levee Imaging Workshop The workshop started at 8 am on November 11th 2016 at the Marriott St. Louis Airport, at 10700 Pear Tree Lane St. Louis, MO 63134 with presentations from Professors Kenneth H. Stokoe, II, Loukas Kallivokas, and Brady R. Cox from the University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Ryan Goetz from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Professors Clint Wood and Michelle Bernhardt from the University of Arkansas. A field demonstration of the seismic testing equipped for 3D levee imaging was held in the afternoon at the Mel-Price Wood River Levee (38 52' 33" N, 90 9' 25" W) near Alton, IL. Much of the Mel-Price Wood River levee is a sand core/clay cap levee, which sits on top of a relatively thin clay blanket underlain by a sand aquifer. The NHERI@UTexas Levee Imaging Workshop highlighted a potential use of NHERI@UTexas equipment for true 3D non-intrusive imaging of geotechnical systems via full waveform inversion. During the workshop, we used the urban, mobile, hydraulic shaker Thumper to generate small-strain, dynamic vertical and horizontal loadings on the ground surface at 144 locations on the crest and toe(s) of the levee. Data collected in this workshop are presented in this project. Four types of tests were conducted. These four types of tests are: (1) 3D imaging with Thumper vertical mode, (2) 3D imaging with Thumper shear mode, (3) 3D imaging with a sledge hammer vertical mode, and (4) MASW tests.
