\n## **Abstract** \nThe dataset was compiled by the Geological and Bioregional Assessment Program from source data referenced within the dataset and/or metadata. Regional Airborne Electromagnetics survey data (AusAEM) were used to estimate the depth and thickness of the Carpentaria Basin where it overlies the Beetaloo GBA region. Models derived from AEM data represent thickness and extent of clay rich lithologies within the Carpentaria Basin sequence and overlying Cenozoic (when present) rather than the whole of the Carpentaria Basin. Areas with clay rich lithologies would have tendency to impede recharge. For further information see Fact sheet 6 available from https://www.bioregionalassessments.gov.au/gba.\n\n\n## **Attribution** \nGeological and Bioregional Assessment Program\n\n\n## **History** \nThe geological surface models were created by interpolating point depth estimates from from AusAEM depth estimates for Beetaloo GBA) using ArcGIS. Models derived from AEM data represent thickness and extent of clay rich lithologies within the Carpentaria basin sequence and overlying Cenozoic (when present) rather than the whole of the Carpentaria Grids were interpolated using the Natural Neighbour methodology.
