资源简介:
This database is intended to assess the geographic scope, range, and foreign policy vectors of the former Soviet Union de facto states (Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Transnistria, Nagorno-Karabakh). The database contains information on diplomatic, consular, and other missions (and representatives) of de facto states located (and residing) worldwide. The database is managed via the Microsoft Excel. The database comprises four Microsoft Excel files, placed within a single ZIP file. Each of the four Microsoft Excel files contains several worksheets (sections) containing parameters such as: 1) the location of the de facto polity's foreign institutions worldwide; 2) the location of other state and international organization missions in the de facto states` cities; 3) other data (if available). For the Republic of Abkhazia, this other data includes the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) missions and representatives` disposition worldwide. It also includes the locations of the World Abaza Congress (WAC) offices and contact persons abroad. For the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic there is also other data about the Republic of Armenia's honorary consuls worldwide. Additionally, the files for Abkhazia and South Ossetia include a separate section on the states that have recognized these de facto polities, indicating the country and year of recognition. This database implements a comprehensive approach to selecting and verifying sources. The location of missions and representatives was searched for on the numerous websites of ministries and agencies (as well as their subordinate institutions). The websites of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abkhazia, the World Abkhaz-Abaza Congress, and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) were also used. These resources were also used to cross-check the selected information. The residence of authorized representatives was verified through their personal pages on the social media platforms Odnoklassniki, VKontakte (VK), Facebook, and Instagram.
