The Royal Commission into Family Violence: Recommendation 205 is inadequate to assess trends.

The main message of this story is to emphasise the need to collect data from the people whom the data is about. I will show, through visualisations, that using data collected under Recommendation 205 from the Royal Commission to show a lack of changes when comparing 2014-2017, 2017-2020 and 2020-2023. The expected outcome is to display a lack of progress using this data and highlight its inefficiency to accurately monitor progress to intended priorities.
