Transcriptome sequencing data of rat hippocampus treated with MCAO and MCAO+ puerarin

Cerebral ischemia stroke (CIS) is a multifactorial and diverse neurological disorder characterized by a high mortality rate and longterm cognitive impairment, partly due to apoptosis. However, the development of neuroprotective drugs to combat apoptosis has faced significant challenges. Puerarin (Pue), an anti-antioxidant compound extracted from the root of the Pueraria lobata (Willd), shows protective effects against against cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (CIR)-induced injury. In this study, to identify downstream target genes regulated by Pue, we performed RNA-seq analysis on hippocampal samples from MCAO and MCAO+Pue (60 mg/kg) groups.
