资源简介:

This dataset contains the seismic data collected between November 2023 and April 2024 at the monumental gate of Porta Palio, Verona, Italy. Single-station (P) ambient seismic noise data were collected along five WSW-ENE oriented alignments which cross perpendicularly the axis of the countermine tunnel beneath the monumental gate and are centered on it (Fig. 1). Forty-nine measurements (stations) were performed at the site: Profile 1 comprises 23 stations spaced 0.5 m apart (P1-P23), Profile 2 and Profile 3 each comprise 5 stations spaced 1 m apart (P24-P28 and P32-P36, respectively); two other alignments (only alignments with at least 5 stations are called profiles) each comprise 3 stations spaced 1 m apart (P29-P31 and P37-P39); the remaining stations were acquired before and after Profile 1, aligned to it. Data were collected using a digital tromograph (Tromino® model ENGY). This is a compact, ultralight, integrated device, with a compact 3-directional, 24-bit digital seismometer (MoHo s.r.l., 1 dm3 volume, 1 kg weight), including sensors and the data acquisition system. The system works at frequencies down to 0.3 Hz. This seismograph is also equipped with three orthogonal electrodynamic sensors (velocimeters), and is powered by two 1.5 V AA batteries. It also has an internal GPS antenna and does not have any external cables. During all measurements the seismometer’s major axis was aligned with the minor axis of the monumental gate, i.e. along the ENE-WSW direction. The seismometer was placed on the pavement using 3 short spikes screwed into the base of the unit, of the type used for recording inside buildings or on hard rock, without any penetration. This ensured good mechanical coupling. The seismometer was levelled and then seismic noise data acquired as 20-minute traces sampled at 1024 Hz. The data are presented in ASCII format files. The recordings of each channel were saved all together in the same file. Information about each file was printed on the header of the same file. Acknowledgements The author is grateful to Società Mutuo Soccorso Porta Palio in the person of Michelangelo Pivetta for allowing to access and sample the test site and for providing the highly reliable metric survey of the architectural structure and the countermine tunnel, to Michelangelo Pivetta and Marcello Verdolin for their support in data collection and to Sandro Parrinello, Francesca Picchio, Anna Dell’Amico and Francesca Galasso who carried out the metric survey.
