A global dataset of land use change impacts on soil organic carbon

We provides a global dataset of SOC stocks in seven land use change scenarios by reviewing publications on LUC effects on SOC stocks. The dataset included 5980 observations of LUC impact on SOC stock from 751 publications. It also includes vegetation type before and after LUC, study design, sample size, years after LUC, the year LUC occurred, climate factors, soil type, parent material type, and soil physiochemical properties before LUC occurred, such as soil bulk density, particle size, and pH.The database files are in xlsx format and include both raw data for publications and data from global maps. The vacant data corresponding to the article was not mentioned by the authors.
