PSYCHOLOGICAL VIOLENCE AND ITS ROLE AS A FACTOR LEADING TO SUICIDE
收藏资源简介:
This study examines psychological violence as a critical factor contributing to suicidal behavior, emphasizing its complex interaction with individual, social, and institutional variables. Psychological violence manifested through emotional abuse, coercion, humiliation, and intimidation has increasingly been recognized as a significant risk factor affecting mental health outcomes. Using a mixed-method research design, the study integrates quantitative statistical data from recent national and international reports (2021-2025) with qualitative analyses of documented cases and expert evaluations. The findings demonstrate that individuals exposed to prolonged psychological violence exhibit significantly higher levels of depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. While legal frameworks in many countries, including Uzbekistan, have begun to acknowledge psychological harm, enforcement mechanisms remain limited. The study concludes that effective prevention requires not only legal sanctions but also early psychological intervention, awareness programs, and institutional support systems. Recommendations are proposed to enhance multidisciplinary responses and reduce suicide risks associated with psychological violence.
