In particular, , and only the closed formula was used for (due to the excessively long runtimes: e.g., computing by the recursive formula took more than 9 hours). Mean, maximum (Max) and minimum (Min) values for 10 replicates of each experiment are reported. All simulations were run on a 24 core Intel Xeon E5649 CPU 2.53GHz workstation with 47 GB RAM, Linux 2.6.32 (Red Hat 4.4.6), with software written in Python 2.6.6.
