Pythium vexans is an important soilborne pathogen of many economic crops and trees, which bring serious loss of the plant yield. However, the lack of knowledge of molecular mechanism of pathogenic and drug resistance restrict the management of pathogen. To better understand these molecular mechanism, the genome of this pathogen were sequenced in this study, the resulting data will facilitate to decipher pathogenic and drug resistance genes, and the related mechanism pathways. All these data will help us understand more about the plant-pathogen interaction and disease control.
