资源简介:

Malaria is a major public health problem in Malawi and is a leading cause of illness and death among children under the age of five years. PSI/Malawi delivers LLINs through a combination of public and private sector delivery strategies, which include free distribution through campaigns and health facilities as well as social marketing through private sector channels in line with the Ministry of Health and National Malaria Control Strategy. In 2011, PSI Malawi launched Super Chitetezo LLINs following the policy shift by the Malawi Government from ITNs to LLINs. The sales of Super Chitetezo nets have been going down steadily over the past 2 years. In an effort to revamp the Supper Chitetezo brand with an ultimate goal of increasing bed net usage and increasing sales, PSI instituted a re-branding study to improve the product and packaging. The study will employ a qualitative research approach with Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and In-depth interviews (IDIs) used to collect data. In-depth interviews will be conducted with 3 people who participated in the FGD and mostly these will be those who were very proactive during the Focus Group Discussions. Data will be collected from men and women staying in urban and peri urban areas.
