Community Microgrids in Brazil: Regulatory Design, Market Reform, and Policy Implications — Analysis of Online Interview Responses

This dataset contains materials from a research project conducted in Brazil, in which experts and stakeholders of the Brazilian electricity sector, with professional experience in Smart Grids (SGs), were interviewed to validate regulatory proposals compiled by the authors. The proposals, aimed at fostering the diffusion of urban Community Microgrids (MGs) in Brazil, were previously developed through an extensive research process that included systematic literature reviews, followed by the analysis of documents and video materials. The dataset includes a spreadsheet containing the complete anonymized responses from the online interviews, excluding all personally identifiable information. It also contains a Python notebook (developed in Google Colab) used to analyze the responses on a question-by-question basis, as well as to aggregate and visualize the overall results. Additionally, the dataset includes the ethical approval documentation required by the Research Ethics Committee (Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa – CEP) through the Plataforma Brasil system. The project was originally submitted in October 2023 and formally approved in February 2024. Data collection took place during the following three months, with the analysis carried out throughout 2024 and early 2025, including occasional follow-up communications with participants to clarify specific points.
