A price survey conducted across all supermarkets nationwide revealed that the average price of 100g of azuki beans was 121 yen in December 2016. During the period from January 2015 to December 2016 (the past 24 months), the month with the highest price for azuki beans within the national supermarkets was November 2016, at 124 yen, while the month with the lowest price was August 2016, at 120 yen. The price difference between the peak price period (November 2016) and the lowest price period (August 2016) for azuki beans across the national area was 3.7872 yen.
