Bacterial communities of healthy and diseased Montipora capitata

Using full-length 16S rRNA gene sequencing, we compared the bacterial communities of healthy and diseased Montipora capitata during and after a coral disease outbreak. We investigated whether intraspecific differences in the coral host resulted in differences in the associated bacterial community in ways that may influence holobiont health.
