Draft genome sequence of Streptomyces sp. XY006, an endophyte isolated from the tea (Camellia sinensis) plant

Endophytic actinomycetes are known to produce a myriad of bioactive natural products. This project aims to isolate such endophytes from tea plants (Camellia sinensis), offer insights on their genetic potential for natural product biosynthesis and hence provide molecular bases for further exploration as biocontrol agents.
