Three-dimensional swimming trajectories of zooplankton, obtained by particle tracking velocimetry
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains three-dimensional swimming trajectories of zooplankton obtained by particle tracking velocimetry in a laboratory observation chamber. It comprises 7 CSV files, one per experimental set, each holding one or more individual trajectories with time-stamped X, Y and Z coordinates in millimetres. Recordings were made with a single high-speed infrared-sensitive camera combined using an optical four-view mirror splitter, so that four simultaneous views of the volume are captured on one sensor. Three-dimensional positions were reconstructed with OpenPTV 0.0.9. The data are published as raw tracking output: no smoothing, filtering, interpolation or outlier removal has been applied, since those are analysis-stage decisions. Known limitations, including out-of-volume points along the depth axis and trajectory fragmentation, are documented in the accompanying README file, which also provides the full column dictionary and acquisition parameters. The dataset was produced at the MicroMotion Lab (University of Granada) within a research project on the quantitative characterisation of microorganism motility.
