VPRS 17293 Register of Petrol Building Permit Applications (P prefix)

A single volume comprises the register of applications for petrol permits. The cover of the volume has the word "fuel" written on it and the spine has the letter "P" which presumably stands for "petrol". Information in the volume is arranged sequentially by application numbers, which are shown with the prefix P. Information varies but may include type (of fuel to be stored), size of tanks, remarks, approval date and file references. There are 787 applications registered in the volume, compared with 800 related files which are held by the City of Melbourne and located in the City of Melbourne (COM) Series 1966. Other series of records held by City of Melbourne include associated plans (in COM series 3525) and a running set of applications (with gaps) some of which may include plans (in COM series 3548). These City of Melbourne series were not transferred to PROV.
