HNDD: Hainan Naval Detection Dataset for Maritime Vessel Detection

HNDD is a maritime vessel detection dataset containing 6,452 images with 6,946 annotated instances across 7 vessel categories from Hainan coastal waters. Collected from port surveillance systems (2023-2024), it features diverse weather conditions, multi-scale vessels (20\u00d715 to 600\u00d7400 pixels), and complex port scenarios. With YOLO-format annotations and 94.2% inter-annotator agreement, HNDD addresses the gap in regional maritime datasets for South China Sea surveillance applications. The dataset includes Fishing Boats, Engineering Vessels, Yachts, Speedboats, Patrol Boats, Bulk Carriers, and Fishing Trawlers, providing essential data for advancing maritime detection algorithms in challenging coastal environments.Note: This is a sample version of HNDD for review purposes. The complete dataset (6,452 images with 6,946 annotations) will be made publicly available upon acceptance of the associated paper.
