Spatial transcriptomics of Pulmonary Pleomorphic Carcinoma (PPC) patients were conducted using the GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler to reveal intratumoral heterogeneity of PPCs at molecular level. Hybridization was performed using the Human Whole Transcriptome Atlas, targeting human protein-coding transcripts. Overall design: In this study, 125 Regions of Interest (ROIs) were selected from nine PPC patients based on pathologically defined tumor components (epithelial and sarcomatoid), adjacent normal lung tissue and mediastinal lymph node metastasis. As a sub-analysis, we performed region segmentation based on the presence or absence of the morphology marker CD45 and analyzed the tumor immune microenvironment.
