16S rRNA Salda Lake Oxford Nanopore MinION Analyses

Indeed, ecologically destructive factors that can cause declines in the biological diversity of Salda Lake are concerning. We conclude that it is very important to characterize the community composition and diversity of Salda Lake before its unique microbial structures and ecosystem functions are disrupted.We employed Oxford Nanopore Technologies (MinION) to consider all informative sites within the full length of the 16S rRNA gene and identify the community composition and bacterial diversity of Salda Lake samples by eliminating limitations in short-read sequencing technologies.
