semi-luxury foods, tobacco and alcohol.

Topics: information on occupation and employment; arrangement of
working hours with or without changing shifts; work on an assembly
line; regular weekly working hours; work on Sunadys and holidays as
well as on Saturdays; being on stand-by on weekends; short time work;
frequency of overtime and actual total working hours per week; exercise
of side jobs and taking care of occupational matters in leisure time;
commuting time to work; wage or salary recipient; bonuses and piecework
pay; characterization of actual and subjectively perceived stress at
work; personal danger of accident at work as well as possibility of
endangering others; possibility of causing greater property damage;
frequency of personal work accidents; personal responsibility at work
(scale); type and frequency of work supervision by others; perceived
stress from being supervised; characterization of necessary
psychological and social abilities at work; holding management
positions and extent of span of control; frequency of work conflicts;
interest in accepting additional responsibility; frequency and reason
for change of job; health reasons for a change of job; duration of

typical housework between the spouses; frequency of house cleaning;
degree of perceived opportunities for self-realization in marriage
(written survey); degree of satisfaction with relation with partner
(scale); consultation of outsiders with partnership problems; frequency
of reading literature on partnership relations; frequency of thinking
about partner problems and conflicts with partner; judgement on one´s
own partner relation in comparison to others; conduct with partnership
conflicts (scale); frequency of conflicts with partner and most
frequent reasons for marriage conflicts; persons in need of care in the
household; effective leisure time per day; judgement on the occupation
of housewife (scale); length of vacation from housework; satisfaction
with one´s own housework (scale); assumed attitude of husband to
employment of married women; assessment of attitude of spouse to a
female superior; daily time expended for housework; housework on
Saturdays and Sundays.

Demography: sex; age; marital status; number of children; ages of
children (classified); personal school education and that of partner;
personal vocational training and that of partner; personal occupational

attendance of college or school; year of marriage; length of living

Interviewer rating: willingness of respondent to cooperate; presence
of other persons during the interview and their interventions in the
course of the interview; reliability of respondent; degree of tiredness
of respondent after interview; date of interview; length of interview,
place of survey.
