This is a digital reproduction of an image held at the Library of Congress. <br>This photograph shows a view of Bethlehem from a belfry, displaying the Church of the Nativity and Herodium. Herodium is a cone-shaped hill in the West Bank where Herod the Great built a palace fortress and is believed to have been buried. This image is a cropped version of the original held at the Library of Congress. <br>This image exists as part of the Nativity Church collection within the Library of Congress project of the Planet Bethlehem Archive.
