Data and scripts for ionization-induced hose instability in electron-beam-sustained plasmas

This dataset contains the post-processing scripts and selected simulation data used for the analysis of ionization-induced hose instability in nonrelativistic electron-beam-generated plasmas. The uploaded files are organized into two parts. The archive postprocess_data.zip contains the Python post-processing scripts, the README file, and representative example data used for the pressure cases from 0.5 mTorr to 5 mTorr. The scripts are numbered according to the recommended running order. They include routines for reading two-dimensional binary simulation outputs, extracting one-dimensional density and electron-temperature profiles, calculating theoretical zeroth-order density profiles, evaluating the ionization-induced hose frequency and growth rate, performing FFT analysis of probe signals, and extracting wall particle and energy fluxes. In addition, the simulation data for each pressure case between 0.5 mTorr and 5 mTorr are provided as separate compressed archives. Each case archive contains the corresponding PIC/MCC output data required to reproduce the post-processing results for that pressure condition. These data include selected two-dimensional snapshot files, probe time-series files, and wall flux diagnostics used in the analysis. The dataset is intended to support reproducibility of the figures and theoretical comparisons reported in the associated study. Users should first extract postprocess_data.zip, check the user-input section at the beginning of each Python script, and then provide the corresponding pressure-case data archive in the expected data directory before running the scripts.
