Data and Scripts of the Paper: How does Financial Incentive Empower the Development of Web 3.0 Projects?

The replication package for the study "How does Financial Incentive Empower the Development of Web 3.0 Projects?" includes necessary materials and data to reproduce the findings and analyses presented in the paper.The package is organized into four directories:<i>Descriptive Analysis of Dataset</i>This directory contains basic information about Gitcoin grants and the results of the descriptive analysis of this dataset.<i>RQ1_Attract_Funding</i>This directory includes data and scripts used to answer Research Question 1: What factors contribute to higher funding likelihood? It contains scripts for analyzing the attributes of the top 500 projects with the most funding, along with related Twitter data. For convenience, the attributes data of these top 500 projects are directly shared. The file "<i>attract.R</i>" is the script for regression analysis.<i>Survey</i>This directory includes the questionnaire, responses, and codebook for our survey, which are used to answer Research Questions 1, 2, and 4.<i>RQ3_Funding_Implications</i>This directory includes data and scripts used to answer Research Question 3: What are the impacts of participating in Gitcoin on project activities? It contains two subdirectories:<i>Comparison_Funding_vs_NoFunding</i>: Contains data and scripts for comparing changes in project activities between projects that received funding and those that did not.<i>ITS_Top500Projects</i>: Contains data and scripts for performing an interrupted time series (ITS) analysis on the top 500 projects with the most substantial funding.<br><br>
