Heavy metal contamination of sediment obtained at sea shore downstream of Dumpsite of Qaanaaq village, Greenland, conducted in 2023.

In 2022, 30 soil samples were obtained in dumpsite of Qaanaaq village. Soils were brought back to the laboratory and were subjected to Japan leaching test No. 46 which is official test for evaluating soil contamination of heavy metals. Soil was mixed with distilled water at liquid to solid raton was 10, then the mixture was shaken for 6 hours. After shaking, mixture was filtrated. Heavy metal concentration of filtrate was analyzed by atomic absorption spectrometry.
