Cell size & shape statistics comparing 20 haploid and 17 diploid colonies isolated across the full time series (haploid colonies isolated between 0 and 1346 generations, diploids between 744 and 1811 generations), and five haploid and five diploid colonies isolated at each of 1023 and 1302 generations of evolution. In each case we compared haploid and diploid colonies using a Welch two sample t-test, not assuming equal variance;***: p0.0001,**: p 0.001,*: p 0.01.
