Susenas 1987: Demography, Health and Culture: File 2

The SUSENAS is an annual survey of the Indonesian population. Areas covered include education/literacy, employment, income, household consumption, adult and child health, nutrition, and use of healthcare services, fertility, family planning and housing. Brief questions on each topic are asked annually in the Core questionnaire. After 1993, more detailed questions on each topic are asked on a three year cycle (Susenas Modules). Topics in the 1987 S1 (demography, health and culture) survey include health, nutrition (adult and child), breast feeding, use of hospitals, whether accessed radio, newspaper/magazine, TV, film, arts performance recently, participation in sports, social organsiation. 49,200 households were included in the 1987 Susenas sample. Data was collected from individual household members as well as from households.
