The genetic basis of worker reproduction in Bombus terrestris. Bombus terrestris

We examined the transcriptomic changes associated with worker reproduction in the brain, fat body, ovary and eggs of B. terrestris. Overall design: RNA-Seq of four Bombus terrestris tissue types (brain, fat body, ovary and eggs) in two/one phenotypes of workers (ovary active and ovary inactive for brain, fat body and ovary, ovary active for eggs), with three biological and three technical replicates per tissue/phenotype combination (for brain, fat body and ovary) and two biological replicates for eggs.
