资源简介:
Cr-based van der Waals materials, such as CrSBr, offer tunable excitonic and magnetic properties, crucial for spintronics and optoelectronics. Building on prior studies that identified Cr³⁺ 3d orbital hierarchy and its link to photoluminescence (PL) in CrSBr, we now investigate its magnetic-field-dependent electronic structure using RIXS-MCD. Measurements performed below the systems Néel temperature with a field along the easy axis showed the previously reported PL redshift and revealed a clear dichroic behavior. To gain deeper insight, we will now apply fields along the system’s intermediate and hard axes using ID32’s XMCD end-station. Detailed RIXS-MCD spectra will be used to track the evolution of Cr3+ d–d excitations, going from the antiferromagnetic ground state to fully field polarized states. Comparison with our multiplets model and previously reported PL will clarify the role of electronic transitions in the in the observed optical properties.
